Imagine the colour of driftwood on a beach, buffeted by the salty waves and faded from the intense sun. The washed and pale oak grain of the pumice grey wood defines a contemporary interior style. The flooring has a natural look that resonates with the outdoors and especially compliments a coastal palette. The luxury wooden boards feature a fine mix of soft grey and brown grain patterns, creating cool brown and natural tones.
The unique colour combination provides an authentic, natural texture to offset cool, modern surfaces. With its neutral tones, this floor has a contemporary edge that coordinates with the designs and styles of modern luxury, glamorous eclectic, and Scandinavian-style homes.
Luxury Wood Floors with a Large Range of Applications
Lovers of contemporary architecture can seamlessly incorporate these boards into any interior space, achieving a natural aesthetic. The cool, sea-washed oak tones and authentic textures pair well with bold designer furniture, glossy surfaces, and contemporary colour schemes, including:
- Terracotta
- Soft blues and pastels
- Dark greys
- Off-black shades
This authentic wood flooring is highly durable, suitable for living rooms, kitchens, and bedrooms. However, it will reach its full potential in large, open-plan modern spaces with plenty of natural light and glass. The visual compatibility of the pumice flooring with other materials allows you to designate distinct areas within open-plan spaces.
Wood Flooring – Structural Specifications
Our pumice grey flooring consists of wide planks available in two widths and two thicknesses.
The 180 mm width is ideal for small or modest rooms, while the broader 220 mm width is perfect for grand spaces.
The two thicknesses are 16 mm and 21 mm. The more popular 21 mm thick plank consists of a 6 mm wear layer and 15 mm Birchwood plywood backing for added strength and durability. The 16mm thick planks have a 4 mm wear layer and 12 mm ply backing.
White oil is ideal for colour maintenance and nourishment. We also offer extra-wide plank and parquet wood floor options.
