Un-finished Hardwood Floor Boards

As the name suggests the floorboards are supplied and fitted with no protective coating. The main benefit is the customer has the choice of various finishes such as a choice of coloured stains, samples can be applied to several boards on site with the view to matching existing colour schemes or furniture. A choice of protective finishes, either lacquered (varnished) or oiled is then available.

Pre-finished Hardwood Floor Boards

When the time comes to choosing a hardwood floor, either solid hardwood or engineered hardwood, pre-finished flooring will demand less time to install, thus reducing the final cost.

As the name suggests the hardwood floorboards have been factory sanded and prefinished with a lacquer (varnish) or oil thus eliminating the finished process on site.

Antique Flooring

Most antique wood flooring comes from two sources: recycled beams and floorboards from demolished buildings and barns. Because of growing demand, Antique flooring is becoming a diminishing resource and therefore subject to availability and sometimes long lead times are not unusual from the time of ordering to installation.

Handscraped Wood Flooring

Handscraped wood flooring is an alternative to antique flooring. As the name suggests, it is handscraped with a lot of character. Although very expensive, it is ideal for those looking for a hardwood floor full of character and it provides the look of an antique floor.
